The WestSide Leadership Academy is a four-year public school that is part of the Gary Community School Corporation in Gary, Indiana. It has been providing quality education to students since 1989. Its mission is to empower students with the necessary tools to become leaders in their community. It focuses on leadership development, entrepreneurship, and community service. Students can choose from a variety of degree programs offered through the school. It also offers student scholarships.
Gaston is a Student Director
Gaston is a senior at Westside Leadership Academy (WSLA) who is very energetic and charismatic. He is part of the student production team, led by principal Little, that films school games for publication. He once played football and track, but now he focuses on student leadership. Gaston has also worked as a statistician for the basketball team and has even commented on the games.
He is a Member of the S.A.V.E. Chapter
Student leaders have an opportunity to serve their communities and improve the quality of life in the neighborhood they live in. In the Westside Leadership Academy, students are encouraged to get involved with their community through clubs and organizations. Students can even get involved in a cause they’re passionate about, like S.A.V.E. Chapter members.
Jennifer McLaughlin is a co-founder of Save Cheyenne, a group that successfully stopped the Broadmoor from closing W. Cheyenne Mountain Blvd. She also helped save Strawberry Fields, a park that’s important to the community. She is currently on the Board of Directors of Cheyenne Central and has done volunteer work for CASA and Genesis Women’s Shelter.
He is a Student Ambassador
As a student ambassador for Westside Leadership Academy, D’Arnaz Gaston, a senior at the academy, represents the school’s student leadership. A charismatic and energetic member of the school’s Theatre Guild, D’Arnaz exemplifies the qualities of a leader. She also led the theater guild’s recent overhaul.
Gaston is involved in a variety of extracurricular activities and projects, including the upcoming play, The Meeting, and his debut as a student director in Stand Up. Her involvement in these activities makes her a great candidate for both student body and Intra City Student Council. Besides her leadership responsibilities, Gaston enjoys participating in sports. The academy has introduced table tennis to its student program.

WestSide Leadership Academy is a four-year public high school for grades nine through twelve in Gary, Indiana. It is part of the Gary Community School Corporation. While it is a small school, it is highly regarded for the education it provides its students. The school is ranked 64th among high schools in the state, and ranked 310-374 nationally.
Students at the school attended their first day of class at the new school Monday. Many students were reunited with classmates after moving from Wirt-Emerson. School officials said the first day went well, with most students reporting no problems. Nate Harris, the school’s resource officer, said the first day was typical.

D’Arnaz Gaston, a senior at Westside Leadership Academy, is a charismatic and energetic student. She is involved with the Theatre Guild and has demonstrated her leadership skills in a variety of other ways. She is also a member of the S.A.V.E chapter and the student ambassador for the S.A.Ve chapter at Westside Leadership Academy.
She has been involved with the American Red Cross since her sophomore year, and currently serves as the student ambassador for the S.A.V.E. Chapter of the Western States. Her goal is to promote Red Cross volunteerism by engaging youth throughout the region and initiating valuable service projects. She hopes to continue her involvement with the organization when she pursues a career in medicine.

He is a senior at the Westside Leadership Academy, where he is involved with a number of projects. He is a co-president of the Ventura County Red Cross Club, and is the co-coordinator of youth. His goal is to improve youth engagement throughout Ventura County. He also enjoys hiking, composting, and digital design.
The Westside Leadership Academy has a long history of helping students develop their leadership skills, and this chapter supports students’ career goals by providing them with valuable resources. As a student ambassador, he hopes to bring the organization to the communities he serves. His goals include engaging youth in the organization and making it a place they can call home.
