Patrick Collison is an Irish billionaire. He and his brother John founded software brand Shuppa, which later merged with Auctomatic. The Collisons sold Auctomatic for $5 million in 2008, but Patrick Collison stayed on as engineering director. The Collison brothers later co-founded Stripe, an online payment service. Their company is worth more than $9 billion, which is more than double the estimated value of the average billionaire.
