In the third episode of “Bender,” the zombies are the followers of Bender’s Twitter account. It is revealed that Bender has 800,000 followers and has a Twitworm, which turns his followers into zombies. In the next episode, Bender and his followers attempt to stop the zombie invasion by giving people what they want. The results are comical.

After Leela’s video has been released, fry take my money becomes jealous of Bender’s Twitcher followers, vowing to never reach their level, but a leak of her video of Leela licked by the boil reveals that she has already passed the zombie level. Eventually, zombies start to crowd the Mom Store, as Bender’s followers are turning into zombies.
