They will also visit three military units on Fort Knox for hands-on training. A variety of educational opportunities abound in Hardin County, and the Leadership 2021-2022 class was no exception. The chamber of commerce hosted the event and focused on educational topics. There were also presentations from local schools, including a public relations representative and a district home-school-community liaison. Several other speakers gave presentations on a variety of topics, including the prevention of student homelessness. Participants were also able to network with key community leaders.

The visioning project conducted by the Hardin County Government included a comprehensive review of existing resources and studies, interviews with key community groups, and a confidential key stakeholder survey. This comprehensive process resulted in a set of strategic goals for the community, which were then examined by a committee called Hardin County United.
